Tape In Hair Extension Guide.

Tape In Hair Extensions have become extremely popular due to their easy application method.Tape-In hair extensions are held in place by double-sided tape that is applied by placing two pieces of the adhesive tape together, with your natural hair sitting in between. Tape In Hair Extensions can be installed in as little as 45 minutes. The tape is made of a medical grade adhesive that is designed for hair. It can be removed with a special bond remover. The tape extensions can be reused up to 3 times. With proper care they can last 3 to 6 months.
  • A few of our customers had been trying to grow hair out for years, before deciding to speed up the process a bit. Tape-in extensions hair looks and feels as healthy as natural hair.

Re-Use Hair Extensions
  • It is best to stick to a schedule of removal and reapplication every eight to ten weeks. As your hair grows out, the bond inches farther away from the root, and the farther the bond is from the root, the more likely it is twist and tangle—and possibly reveal your well-kept secret.

Why use these:
  • Safe to use, no visibility once attached, longer life than clip-ins. Something a lot of people do is get extensions to play with color. For example, if you want to experiment with color but your hair is too dead, extensions can be a fun way to try out an ombre look.

How to care:
  • Prior to bed, pull your hair back into a soft ponytail to prevent tangling while sleeping. Brush your hair twice a day using proper hair extension brushes ( recommended Wet Brush) Brush gently working from ends toward scalp before and after washing.
  • Always use conditioner. Too much conditioner or very oily hair can weaken the keratin bonds If extensions become dry and damaged treat once to twice a week with any Hydration mask, Leave-in moisturizer / conditioner, (Cuticle sealer / thermal protection) (leave in for couple minutes before rinse)
  • Don’t forget to deep condition. Once a week you want to deep condition your hair extensions. Leave it on the hair for approximately 20 to 30 minutes and rinse.
  • Swimming - Always wet hair with tap water, apply conditioner and braid hair before swimming to help avoid tangling. Avoid salt water, (the worst for extensions), and chlorine
  • NEVER GO TO BED WITH WET HAIR
  • Washing with HOT WATER is not recommended with extensions. You can also do a cool water rinse (to seal the cuticle and make your hair shiny
  • Do not use products that contain sulfur or glycerin, silicone etc.., such as dandruff shampoos.
  •  Use as little heat as possible on your hair extensions; air drying is best. If you must use flat irons and blow dryers, invest in the gentler ionic ones, and stay away from the extension bonds when applying heat
Some clients experience itching to the scalp, this is perfectly normal! Remember that having hair extensions isn’t a natural process, your head has to adjust to having them
Use a heat protection. Nowadays, just about everyone uses heated appliances on their hair. Whether it’s a blow dryer, curling iron or flat iron, This simple step will prevent breakage keeping your extensions look great and last much longer.
